About

There is a whole universe within

Hello, I’m Daphne.
My professional journey began in Social Work, and for more than 25 years I
have had the privilege of working alongside people and families from many
different backgrounds and walks of life.
That experience has shaped the way I work today. I have learned the
importance of really listening, meeting people where they are, and creating a
space where people can feel safe, respected and accepted as they are.
Alongside my Social Work career, I gradually discovered a deeper interest in
holistic approaches to wellbeing.

I became a Reiki Master and Teacher in 2019 and am a Reiki NZ Accredited
Reiki Practitioner. I am also a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner and have
practised Lymphatic Drainage since 2019. My background also includes Qi
Gong, which has further deepened my interest in the relationship between
body, mind, breath, energy and awareness.

My approach
I believe that we are more than any one symptom, experience or difficulty.
Our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual lives are interconnected, and
sometimes we benefit simply from having the time and space to pause and
reconnect with ourselves.

I bring together my professional experience and holistic training in a way that
is gentle, compassionate and individual. I don’t see my role as telling you what
you should do. Rather, I aim to create a supportive environment where you can
listen to yourself, notice what you need and explore what feels right for you.
My approach is grounded in respect, professional boundaries and the
understanding that complementary therapies can sit alongside — rather than
replace — appropriate medical and psychological care.

A little about me
Outside of my practice, I love being outdoors, playing tennis, travelling, skiing,
spending time with my family and continuing to learn about wellbeing and
ways of living with greater balance.
I feel very fortunate to have created a practice that brings together many parts
of my professional and personal journey.
My intention is simple: to offer a place where you can slow down, receive,
reconnect and make some space for yourself.
